We are little late with this one, but I thought that this release is worth posting. Saphire has released a limited , drama genre movie with good IMDB score and very good RT score ( Rotten Tomatoes). Plot(short):

We have a new film from Austria. This crime film directed by Wolfgang Murnberger has received some good reviews. Subs are included as the film is in German and Russian. The plot revolves around a Private Investigator Brenner who’s handling a case at the grill-station “Löschenkohl”. Take a look if you’re interested, enjoy!

Once again, something has happened. A man by the name of Horvath has vanished, and the only clue leads to the Löschenkohl Restaurant, a well-known country inn which specialises in roast chicken. And it would be most unlike Brenner if the bone-grinding machine in the cellar of the restaurant didn’t present him with a few additional mysteries. For him, minor transgressions and other human frailties are of moist interest here – but Brenner realises almost too late that he is in great danger. The attractive young landlady has turned his head to such an extent that he should be glad to find it still attached to his body at the end of the day.

Im sure there are some Metal Gear Solid fans out there that will be interested in this. Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy is a free to download (From their official website) fan made movie by a Italian Goup called Hive Division who have been working on this project for the past 3 years or so which is obviously inspired by the popular MGS series of games.

I remember watching the trailer for this film a few weeks back, so i didnt think the DVD release date was so soon and it looks like a pretty decent thriller, has a kind of film noir feel to it. Dark Country is the directorial debut for Thomas Jane who also stars in the film which centers on a honeymooning couple whose misery begins when they find a wounded man on a desert road, and things get progressively worse from there.

VoMiT have releases a well awaited interesting documentary film about the Canadian heavy metal band, Anvil. I heard nothing but good about this documentary and the ratings are on the top. The film is directed by screenwriter Sacha Gervasi, whose previous credits include The Big Tease (co-written with Craig Ferguson) and The Terminal. The movie features interviews with other musicians who have been influenced by the band, including Slash (Guns N’ Roses, Velvet Revolver), Lemmy (Hawkwind, Motörhead), and Lars Ulrich (Metallica).
